T.A. Reader Transport (frequently known as Readers Transport) are a haulage company and specialist freight forwarders to and from the Isle of Wight and the UK Mainland. We were established January 1972 and we operate from Prospect Road Industrial Estate in Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
We have a modern fleet of 44 ton artics with 40ft/45ft curtain sided and flat trailers, all equipped for container haulage. We have a new warehouse and fully equipped workshops that enable us to provide a reliable, quality service for our customers at competitive rates.
For easier freight delivery. Some of our fleet are fitted with tail-lifts and we have all terrain forklifts available islandwide. Hiab deliveries can be arranged on request. Storage can also be arranged. All vehicles are equipped with telephones for rapid contact. Communication is the key!
Isle of Wight, UK Mainland Freight
We provide freight service to and from the UK Mainland and the Isle of Wight. We handle drop freight in Southampton and the Isle of Wight and also transport between the two using the Isle of Wight ferry. We can also arrange for dropped trailers at ferry terminals to be shipped to the island, unloaded then returned.
South Coast to Midlands, North, Wales and Scotland
We specialise in shipping and haulage to and from the south coast with regular freight services to the Midlands, North of England, Wales and Scotland.
